50th annniversary photographic competition

 

As part of the Civic Society’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2014, we invited ‘’A" level photography students from the nearby Cheadle Campus of the Cheadle and Marple College to take creative photographs of different local scenes which show Cheadle as it is today. We are grateful to all the students who took part in the competition with the best ones being displayed below.  

The overall winner for best outstanding individual photograph was awarded to Samuel Thompson for his picture composition: "The White Hart in different eras" shown below. Alexandra Singleton and Amy Telfer received second and third prize for their collection of photographs.
