Cheadle Makers' Market

     Next market: Saturday November 6th

From the spring to Christmas, the Civic Society helps bring together local food producers, craftspeople and residents on the first Saturday of every month at Cheadle Green

Food, fun, fair and friendliness at the monthly Makers Market on Cheadle Green.

Origins

On Bank Holiday Monday, May 6th, 2013, a large number of local food producers and craftspeople came together for the first ever Cheadle "Makers Market" on the historic Cheadle Village Green.

The event proved so popular that many of the stallholders sold out of the products they had available and it was decided to have further similar events at the same location on the first Saturday of each month, from early Spring to the end of the year.

The Cheadle Civic Society were prime organisers and backers of the event, collaborating with Stockport Council and other interested parties, and were roundly praised for the support and insight which was provided.

The Society has now decided to promote the event on an on-going basis and hope it is something which will prove to be very popular amongst local residents.
